Purpose of the OCR Orientation
The UCLA Career Center is dedicated to educating and preparing UCLA students for success in all areas of career development. Of equally high value are our relationships with organizations that come to UCLA to recruit students. Thus, we take our On-Campus Recruitment (OCR) program very seriously, including wanting to insure that student preparation and conduct are at high levels throughout the process.
For these reasons, in order for students to be eligible to participate in the OCR Program, and gain access to the OCR section of Handshake, they must complete a mandatory On-Campus Recruitment (OCR) Orientation. All students will become OCR eligible and gain access to on-campus interviewing activity, throughout their time at UCLA, once they attend one of these orientations.

Content of the OCR Orientation
The OCR Orientation focuses on the important aspects of OCR, including process overview, Handshake navigation and valuable Career Center services and resources. Also, because one of the main catalysts for developing formal guidelines and an educational process for the OCR program were the UCLA True Bruin Ethical Standards, key ethical considerations are also presented and discussed at length.
