INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS
DIRECTIONS TO UCLA
UCLA is located in Westwood, approximately ten miles north of the Los Angeles International Airport. During rush hour, allow a minimum of 45 minutes travel time. The UCLA campus is bordered by Sunset Boulevard (north) and Wilshire Boulevard (south), adjacent to Interstate 405 (San Diego Freeway).
Directions to the UCLA Campus via I-405 Freeway (Northbound and Southbound)
1. Exit on Wilshire Boulevard East (the preceding exit ramps are Santa Monica Boulevard if you are approaching from the south; or Sunset Blvd. if approaching from the north).
2. Continue a few blocks to Westwood Blvd. (the first street past Gayley Avenue). Get in the left turn lane.
3. Turn LEFT on Westwood Blvd. and proceed several blocks to the UCLA campus entrance. It is located just past LeConte Avenue. (At this point Westwood Boulevard becomes Westwood Plaza).
4. Continue northbound on Westwood Plaza, past the UCLA Medical complex on the left. Pass through the traffic signal at Charles E. Young Drive South. (Get in the left lane)
5. Stop at the Parking Information booth on your left. The parking fee is $8. Park in the area designated by the attendant (either lot 6, 8, or 9).
6. Please walk northward toward the Ackerman Union Building. Take elevator up to the second floor, where signs will direct you to the Second Floor Lounge.
7. If you are coming directly from LAX, count on a 45-60 minute drive depending on the traffic at that time.
