“The Miseducation of Josephine Bruin” (Lauryn Hill): Careers in Education

When you hear the word “education” in the context of career planning, does your mind automatically conjure up an image of a K-12 public school teacher? Do you have visions of hyperactive students passing notes and talking during a lecture dancing in your head? Are various issues ranging from classroom management to governmental legislation pushing you away from the career in education that you have always wanted to pursue? Join us as we strive to “reeducate” you about the various types of teachers that are needed in our diverse educational systems. We have assembled a collaborative team of teachers from community day schools to private schools who are eager to debunk the myth that our kids our unwilling to learn. Our unified group of proactive teachers will share the philosophies that motivate their students to excel academically and in life.
